Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the Mancala Fun app for Android and its web version at mancala.fun collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to both versions unless a section says otherwise.

Who we are

Mancala Fun is developed and published by Alexandros Georgiou, an independent developer. For any privacy question or request, contact alexgeorgiou@gmail.com.

Information we collect

Sign-in details. If you sign in, we use Google Sign-In (and Google Play Games Services on Android) and store a user identifier, your display name and your email address through Firebase Authentication.
Gameplay data. Match results, scores and settings are stored in Google Cloud Firestore so your history and the per-game leaderboards work. This data is linked to your account when you are signed in.
Usage analytics. Google Analytics for Firebase records app usage events (for example, which games you open), together with a pseudonymous app instance identifier and general device information.
Crash and diagnostic data (Android). Firebase Crashlytics records crash reports and related device state to help us fix problems. It is not active in the web version.
Advertising data. On Android we show ads through Google AdMob; on the web we use Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and device identifiers to serve and measure ads. See “Advertising and your choices” below.
Purchases. If you buy the ad-free upgrade, the payment is handled by Google Play. We receive only a confirmation that the purchase completed — never your card details.
Bluetooth (Android). A local multiplayer feature uses Bluetooth to connect to a nearby device. That traffic stays between the two devices and is not sent to us.

How we use it

To run the game, keep your history and power the leaderboards.
To understand which games are played so we can improve the app.
To diagnose crashes and technical problems.
To display advertising (unless ads have been removed).

Advertising and your choices

Ads on Android are served by Google AdMob and on the web by Google AdSense. Where required by law, we ask for your consent through a Google-certified consent management platform before using your data for personalised advertising; you can change or withdraw that choice at any time from the app's settings (Android) or your browser settings (web). You can also opt out of personalised advertising in your Google Ads settings, and buy the ad-free upgrade in the app to remove ads on Android.

Third parties

We rely on Google services to operate the app — Firebase (App platform sign-in, database, analytics, crash reporting, messaging) and Google AdMob/AdSense for advertising. Their handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention and deletion

We keep your gameplay data and account information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings), which removes your stored data, or by emailing alexgeorgiou@gmail.com. We will action deletion requests within 30 days.

Children

Mancala Fun is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, announced in the app.
